The Institute Presents All New Fall EXPLORE! Programs for Kids
EXPLORE! programs are a series of outdoor adventure programs.
The Institute is offering a series of four outdoor adventure programs this fall. Designed for kids in grades K to 5, the EXPLORE! programs will run on four consecutive Thursdays, October 6, 13, 20 & 27, after school from 4 to 5 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa.
Taught by Institute educators, each program includes educational activities related to the season. All program activities are outside.
Amazing Leaves! was moved to October 27 due to a weather-related cancellation. Students learn about why leaves are so important, and about their life cycle. Why do leaves change color in the fall? Kids investigate a leaf to see how they “breathe.” In addition to a story book about leaves, kids will play a leaf game and make a leaf lantern craft to take home.
Space is limited; pre-register at 717-762-0373 or via email at [email protected].
Sign up for any or all of the individual sessions.
Fee: Single Session: $5 Institute member/$6 general public.
