Annual Lecture Series Program #3: The Nocturnal World of Bats

March 16, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Presented by James Hart, Mammalogist and Wildlife Biologist, Wildlife Specialists, LLC
Underwriting support provided by Robert and Grace Brown

This presentation covers the general ecology of bats as well as types of bats throughout the world, including the bats of Pennsylvania and their importance to our environment. James Hart will discuss the current status of bats in our state and what threatens them. Hart will also discuss which bats in the world are considered pollinators. While there are no pollinator bats in the mid-Atlantic region, they are important to the ecology of deserts in the west and in other locales.
