This is the third in our series of four new fall outdoor adventure programs in October.
Designed for kids in grades K to 5, EXPLORE! programs will run on four Thursdays, October 3, 10, 17, and 24.
Sessions are after school, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa.
All program activities are outside, and each week features a different theme. Taught by educators from Buttonwood Nature Center, home of The Institute, programs include educational activities related to the season and theme. Students may attend any or all sessions.
Bats are amazing animals! They are the only mammals that can fly, and they find their food using “echolocation.”
Learn all about bats while going for a hike, playing games, and crafting a bat kite to take home!
Pre-registration and payment in advance are required.
Fee: $6 per child, per session for member of Buttonwood/The Institute, and $7 per child, per session for the general public.
Attendance is limited. To register, use the form below.
