Designed for kids in grades K to 5, EXPLORE! programs will run on six Thursdays, June 13, 20, 27, and July 11, 18, 25 [no session on July 4].
Session runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa.—a full 90 minutes of educational fun!
All program activities are outside, and each week features a different theme. Taught by educators from Buttonwood Nature Center, home of The Institute, programs include educational activities related to the season and theme. Students may attend any or all sessions.
Boy how things change…especially frogs and butterflies! Come learn all about the magic of metamorphosis. We’ll do some life stages yoga, go for a hike, and create a butterfly life cycle craft to take home. There will be a lot of opportunities for students to practice teamwork and cooperation, too!
Pre-registration and payment in advance are required. Fee: $8 member, $10 general public. Attendance is limited.
