StoryWalk Sunday—November 2024

November 10 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

StoryWalk® Sunday adventures for kids continue…

The story posted on the StoryWalk® trail at Pine Hill Park changes regularly, and a special story event accompanies each one on the second Sunday of select months.

The book for November is “Bear Says Thanks” by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.

Kids will join a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home.

This book celebrates the season for giving thanks. What better way for Bear to say thanks than over a nice, big dinner? Bear decides to throw a feast! One by one, Bear’s friends show up with platters of delicious food to share. There’s just one problem: Bear’s cupboards are bare! What is he to do?

“This beautifully illustrated book is a heartwarming celebration of family and friendship, and perfect for the season of thanksgiving,” said Pam Rowland, Buttonwood’s educational site coordinator.

The event is FREE! Pre-registration is preferred, but not required.

For more information, email to: [email protected] or call 717-762-0373.

All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.

Stay tuned for future StoryWalk® Sundays!
