Nondiscrimination Policy

Buttonwood Nature Center does not exclude, deny benefits to, or otherwise discriminate against any student, program participant, applicant, staff, volunteer or the general public on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, sex, political affiliation, or religion in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships and Institute administered activities.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement or threatening weather, check with our Facebook page to make sure an advertised event is happening. Some events are “rain or shine” while others have a rain location; still others must be postponed or cancelled in the event of rain or snow.

For Water Striders: if area schools are closed, Water Striders activities will be cancelled.

Guidelines for Visitors

Once Buttonwood Nature Center is open to the public (pending completion of our bridge, currently under construction), we will provide guidelines for visitors.
