Building Our Bridge-V

Work on the bridge continued. Photos are from August 23 through the end of August.

The new bridge was OPEN TO TRAFFIC on October 1, 2024!
It is capable of handling school buses, other large vehicles, and cars from future visitors—and was the necessary next ‘big step’ in getting Buttonwood Nature Center accessible to the public.

We have a bridge! Burlap covers seeded areas.
Banks of the bridge were seeded with a native flood plain mix from PA family owned and operated Ernst Conservation Seed Company in Meadville.
