Buttonwood Nature Center welcomes you and your dog—or dogs!
All dogs visiting Buttonwood must join Buttonwood Buddies, our membership for canine companions. See details and pet policy specifics below.

We love dogs…but we also love kids, who are often in the park for school programs and other nature activities.
Kids—and other visitors—frequent our grassy areas, trails and by-ways, and we don’t want any “surprises” for anyone to step in or sit on.
Please remember to clean up after your dog. Waste stations are provided with baggies for your convenience.
Owners must remove bagged dog waste from Buttonwood.
Thanks for helping us keep Buttonwood safe and enjoyable for everyone!
Pet Policy Basics
All dogs who visit the nature center must be registered with the Buttonwood Buddies program and display their Buttonwood Buddies tag on collar or leash.
Service dogs are exempt from this requirement.
All dogs must be kept leashed at all times.
Owners are responsible for picking up and removing any “doggie deposits” on the property.
Sorry, we cannot allow pets inside our buildings. Service dogs are welcome everywhere.
How to register your dog(s) with Buttonwood Buddies:
Registration in our Buttonwood Buddies program is easy and quick. A lifetime membership for each dog is just $5. You will get a Buttonwood Buddy tag for each dog registered.
