StoryWalk® with Buttonwood
Held at Pine Hill Recreation Area near Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
Our guided walks along the StoryWalk® trail continue…
In the Garden Who’s been here? By Lindsay Barrett George
Occurring during the Earth Day event the StoryWalk® will be from 1:30 to 2:30. After the walk, participants will get to paint a small pot and plant a seed in it to take home. They will also receive a signed copy of In the Garden Who’s been here? (First come, first serve on the books).
The event is FREE and registration is not required. For more information, email info@buttonwoodnaturecenter.org or call 717-762-0373.
Children in grades K–5 may be dropped off and picked up at 2:30 p.m. All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
Special events will happen four times a year to mark the changing seasons. Each StoryWalk® event celebrates the season in a fun and meaningful way with special activities.
Pine Hill’s StoryWalk® trail, a Buttonwood/Institute project, was funded in part by Summit Endowment, Marge Kiersz and Rouzerville Business Association, with in-kind support from Washington Township, Hopewell Manufacturing, Waynesboro Area School District “Be the Village,” and Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library.
Additional support is from Rev. Julia Dawson and from our Today’s Horizon Fund contributors: The Nora Roberts Foundation; the late Alma W. Oyer; Marge Kiersz; APX Enclosures; Don Gibe and Nancy Erlanson; and the family of the late Carolyn Terry Eddy, with daughters Connie Fleagle & Kim Larkin. Facility support courtesy of Washington Township.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
