EXPLORE! Fun with Fairy Houses 2026

This is the first in our series of four EXPLORE! outdoor adventure programs in July. 

Designed for kids in grades K to 5, EXPLORE! programs will run on four Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22, 29. Session runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa.—a full 90 minutes of educational fun!

All program activities are outside, and each week features a different theme. Taught by educators from Buttonwood Nature Center, programs include educational activities related to the season and theme. Students may attend any or all sessions.

Fairy houses can be made with nature’s treasures.

July 22: EXPLORE Fun with Fairy Houses:

Join Buttonwood as we forage for materials in nature like leaves, twigs and more to make fairy houses.

We’ll also read a story, build fairy houses, and stretch our imaginations while we spend time in nature.

Fee: $8 member of Buttonwood Nature Center; $10 general public. Space is limited. Register online by July 15.
